In-house Ad Production
In the PublishNow! OPEN workflow, design studios have two roles for creating new ads. One is the execution of layout changes requested directly by trade or transient advertisers who are using the PublishNow! selfservice portals and this process is managed by the Getworks module.
The second is In-house Ad Production – to produce ROP ads against orders raised by advertisers and the sales team. Traditionally this process can be error-prone due to poor communications from advertiser to studio – in the worst cases leading to missed deadlines and customer credits. |
| Communicating between stakeholders |
PublishNow! OPEN offers a webbased solution that provides all stakeholders in the ad production process with access to ad content and status from a browser.
Sales reps book ads based on content and order information from the advertiser and handle approvals and status management on behalf of the customer. The
Sales support team picks up the ad to check content, process images if necessary and finally mark the status of content before uploading to the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system ready for the studio. When ads are completed by the studio, pdfs are approved by the customer or the sales rep for
publishing. |

PublishNow! OPEN – 100% web-based |
With PublishNow! OPEN, designers starting work on a new ad know their deadline, can be confident that the images and text content have been qualified and can focus on what they do best – being a layout artist. The studio also has the PublishNow! DAM to support their ad production. With direct access from ithin Adobe® InDesign® through PublishNow! plugins, the DAM is a repository for work in progress, content and completed ads. Designers are assisted by owerful search capabilities for images plus the ability to create Lightboxes to simplify content management. |

In-house Ad Production and DAM modules form part of a PublishNow! OPEN product suite that includes self-service portals for transient and trade dvertisers,
Online Ad booking, Dynamic Ad Resizing and a Web Services SDK.
The Services Oriented Architecture requires only server administration - maximizing uptime and minimizing maintenance costs. Low and high-level APIs are continually developed to facilitate integration of PublishNow! OPEN with third party applications - and Sansui’s Step Builder can be used to simplify creation of custom interfaces. |
